It has been a poor start to the season for the Urban Warriors and it is not going to get easier when we travel to Durban to play Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday. With four games into the campaign, Ajax are yet to register their first win, while Chiefs sit pretty on top of the log.

The Urban Warriors might need this type of high profile fixture to spark a improved performance from the squad.
Over the years, Ajax have always played at their best when playing the Soweto Giants. For this big occasion Roger De Sa will not need to motivate his chargers. As they look for there first win of the season and Chiefs would be a FANtastic scalp.
Ajax Cape Town what is profound is that it is not the team performing poorly, but they played some good football in patches. Yet have been unable to translate performance into wins as the lack goal scoring and defensive mishaps which has hounded us for years.
“Ball possession and territorial dominance count for nothing – Ajax have to learn to kill off the opposition when they are in the ascendancy.” Rodney Rieners said and I agree with his statement.
We have become very dependent on Nathan Paulse and if he does not have a good game or don’t score Ajax is headed for trouble. Our other strikers need to put their hands up to play there supporting roles as, Itumeleng Khune is in top form and will be tough to crack.
Chiefs have found a touch of form and with three back to backs wins are now more relaxed, taking them to the top of the PSL log. This has taken the pressure off Steve Komphela because before those wins Chiefs supporters wanted him axed.
I personally feel that this fixture is a opportunity for Roger De Sa redeem himself or face the chopping block based on the result we get on Saturday.
