Bantu Mzwakali hands in a Transfer Request has revealed that Midfielder Bantu Mzwakali has handed in a transfer request to leave at Ajax Cape Town.

Bantu believes his career needs a new challenge in order to develop further.

He told Goal that he has been a member of the Ajax Cape Town first team  for three years and spent many more years in the development structures. He feels like he needs a new challenge. He is motivated by the success Keagan Dolly and Cole Alexander achieved since moving away from Ajax Cape Town.

He added that out of the respect he have for the team having given him the opportunity and platform to grow into the player he is  today, he has sat down with the club and expressed himself. The coach knows and I hope they will give me their blessings also.

Early in last month rumours surfaced that Joberg teams are interested in the 22 year old Urban Warrior.

Do the AjaxCTfans think Bantu should be placed on the Transfer List?

  1. I think Bantu’s time is up at Ajax Cape Town. A move might do him well. Just don’t think Chiefs is the right team.

  2. Ajax Cape Town, which prides itself as ‘The Best Football Aademy’ in Africa….has always promoted the progression of their Players careers by ensuring their moves/transfers to appropriate clubs, and I trust they will do the same in this case.

I respect Bantu for doing it in the right way and showing the necessary respect towards the Club.

I think he is an awesome talent, we saw this in the season prior to our Nedbank Cup venture and MTN8 Cup success.

I can also imagine that the changeroom at #AjaxCT for him will never be the same since the dag we lost his best friend, Cecil Lolo #CL21 #RIPTrueWarrior.

Ajax will no doubt take this into consideration when making their decision, a decision I trust will be mutually beneficial.

I wish Bantu all the best of luck for the future and look forward to see his star rising and coming up against us in the PSL and Cup ties.

  3. Transfer request? Really Bantu?

I do not think Bantu is showing the club the necessary respect. He has openly (without the club’s permission) spoken to media regarding his unhappiness at the club and his desire to ply his trade elsewhere.

He has blown hot and cold for the last two seasons. His decision to leave the club in the club’s time of need is beyond me.

I personally endorse his decision to leave. I think his heart has been elsewhere for a while, and its about time he make way for the future. Unfortunately, he has given up on playing for the badge – he is playing solely for himself.

Good luck with your future endeavour Bantu.

  4. This might be another Franklin Cale situation where you get released and don’t make it… or a billiat/dolly situation where it takes you a season or 2 to make it.
